David P. Scaplen, PT founded Generations Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine in 2001 to provide exceptional outpatient physical therapy based on patient education, personal attention, collaboration with physicians, and the highest standards of excellence for clinical care.
A graduate of
Northeastern
University
's Bouve College of Health Sciences, David began his career at
New England
Baptist
Hospital
working in both inpatient and outpatient settings, the occupational medicine center, as well as the hospital’s rehabilitation unit. A focus on sports medicine brought him to private practice and outpatient clinics including Kennedy Brothers Physical Therapy in Boston, North Andover Physical Therapy Associates and HealthSouth at The Hunt Center, prior to founding Generations Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine.
In addition to sports medicine, he specializes in rehabilitation of surgical reconstructions as well as the care of patients with back pain and general overuse injuries. He treats patients of all ages (three and up).
Beth Ann Hayes, PT, CSCS
Beth Ann Hayes joined Generations Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine in November 2004 after more than 11 years with Kennedy Brothers Physical Therapy, a sports medicine clinic with locations throughout Boston. A former clinic director, she has been active in sports medicine, working with marathon runners and competitive athletes as well as providing injury prevention education to student athletes and healthcare professionals. Prior to Kennedy Brothers, she was a staff physical therapist at Faulkner Hospital.
Beth is a graduate of Northeastern University's Bouve College of Health Sciences, where she served as a clinical instructor of Gross Anatomy for several years. She is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist and enjoys working with athletes of all abilities. Beth Ann treats patients age 12 and older.
Nicole D. Poirier, MSPT
Nicole Poirier joined Generations Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine in August of 2006. A native of Tewksbury, Massachusetts, Nicole received her Masters in Physical Therapy from Husson College where she graduated magna cum laude.
In addition to general orthopedic care, Nicole works with clients who have mild neurological/balance disorders. She is experienced in sports medicine, post-surgical rehabilitation as well as lumbar stabilizaton and spine care. Nicole treats patients ages three and older.
Michael F. Hall, ATC
Mike Hall joined Generations Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine in 2005 to provide Athletic Training services for the student athletes of Chelmsford High School. Within the Athletic Department of Chelmsford High School, Mike oversees the student trainer program in addition to supporting all three seasons of the school's sports teams. He also provides clinical assistance in the Chelmsford office.
A native of Chelmsford, Mike received his Bachelor Degree in Movement Science from Westfield State College where he graduated cum laude. He is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association, Eastern Atheltic Trainers Association and Athletic Trainers of Massachusetts.
